Carriage Hill Apartments

I lived in Carriage Hills twice from 2002-03 and just moved back in Nov. 2006 and I'm only going to speak for my experience only. As far as I am concerned I like it here. When I lived in the Garden 3 yrs. ago, the only things I've experienced were my tag was stolen, walls are very thin in which are easily vulnerable to noises, kids running inside the apartments constantly, and sometimes parking is terrible. I used to lived in the rear of the community and have to park in the front by the rental office. Flip side of that is that it is quiet, spacious, very convenient (close to the metro and bus pick you up in front of your building), nice price, little to no roaches and rodents (a least not in my building), and most of all, Southern Management great second chance program. If no apartment complex will take you in, Southern Management will. My family experienced that and from this day, we're thankful for a roof over our head. I just moved back in for the bigger space at the mid-rise and it is peaceful, but seen a roach here and there but CH does have pest control available on certain days. People may consider this place as ghetto and they're entitled to their own opinion. I'm not here to challenge. But overall, in order for a community to be pleasant, it takes EVERYONE (including the residents) to pitch in, not only the management. These issues I've spoken about earlier can easily occur at 65-80 percent of communities in Prince George's County and NOT to be stereotypical or anything but mostly predominant in ------- American Communities. Those are the facts; take it as you see it. I will recommend Carriage Hill Apts.
