The staff inside the rental office is completely different then those of the staff members in the leasing office. They welcome you with open arms and such a friendly demeanor, but once you are in, it's like you have been sentenced to life. They do not treat their long term residents with any appreciation. Sonya Clark is one of the worst office attitudes I have encountered since I have been living in apartments. She makes her decisions on a personal note, rather then on a professional/business manner. She is rude and very unpleasant with her approach to various issues. They all could take a little customer service classes and learn how to deal with consumers/tenants.
As for the property, well what can I say, it is what it is. I have not seen any upgrades or anything for the past 10 years. They are now only remodeling the apartments, after a tenant leaves and not offering any incentive for an upgrade for current residents. In addition, they need to have much more property enhancements before they should even begin to remodel. The windows need replacing and not to mention the numerous electrical and plumbing issues they have. Also, the floors are terrible and they always have cracks and leaks and instead of complete restoration, they continue to just do patch-up work. Another big problem is the parking, which is horrible! If not at home by 9pm, you will have to walk at least a mile to your building. They have cars that have been parked in one spot for over 5 years and for special reasons will make exceptions to their parking rules for them. They also bend the rules on personal basis, as far as pet allowance and fees, parking and rental payments. They also need to provide better means for guest parking passes and their distribution.
They have re done the booth, for what purpose I don't know of and hired a new security company to ride around the premises. Overall, they are in a very convenient location, with on site access to the METRO and subway stations. However, if they fixed the customer service provided by the rental office staffing and made major repairs and not patch-ups in the apartments, they would be an excellent place to stay.
GET AN ENTIRE NEW STAFF IN THE LEASING OFFICE!!

I completely agree with the previous repsonse. If the staff in the Management office go through some customer service classes expecially Sonya Clark. Otherwise, if they fix, upgrade and have everyone abide by set rules then Carriage Hill would be a nice place to live.
