I've lived here for about 8 months now, and I can honestly say that I have never had a living experience quite like this one. The apartments themselves are great: spacious, large closets, new kitchen appliances, 2 bathrooms in a 2 bedroom, all utilities included, etc. The carpet seems to be cheap; it's coming up and unraveling at all of the doorways in the apartment, and if you happen to spill something, you better clean it up quick or else NOTHING will work to get it out, and you'll owe at the end of your lease(parents of young children beware). The management and staff have all been very nice and friendly, and I have never had a problem with maintenance.

The problem with the community is the neighborhood. I have heard more gunfire in the 8 months that I've lived here than in my entire life. Even though 99% of the cars around here have clubs or some kind of security device on them, there is constantly glass in the street from a car being stolen. If you happen to come home after 8pm, you will be parking your car either on the street or very far away from your apartment. There are lots of children, but so far they've been pretty tame. You will be shocked, however, by kids constantly walking around the complex cussing like sailors. The laundry rooms always have to have the locks changed due to vandalism and people doing inappropriate things in there, and most times, 1 out of 2 washers/dryers will not work. You can hear everything that goes on in someone's apartment while in the building hallway, but if you can mind your business you should be fine.

This place isn't the greatest place I've ever lived, but for an apartment it's got everything you'd need. I hear the rent is going up again, so if you can afford to pay almost 1200 for a 2 bedroom in a shady neighborhood, welcome home.
