When i moved in my new apt. in 2005 that was located in the very back of the property; it was very nice for 4 months and i could sleep anytime that i desired doing those month, but a neighbor that lived on the same floor began playing his music so loud that it made the walls of the building shake, you could hear it in the parking lot area and the bass vibrated up and down the sidewalk. I can't tell you how many times that i wrote the Property Manager until i got it resolved. This dude is a mental basket case and an alcoholic. You will find him talking to himself, drunk and trying to hang with the young men who sit at that playground consistently. Once he found out that Hickory Hill got a new property manager, that fool was back to his tricks again and my campaign of complaint letters started all over again until it was resolved again. This man lived across the hallway from me and then a woman moved in next door to me with twin little boys, a young male and a teenage girl that was in and out of the apt. All in a 1 bedroom apt. and they was noisy. The person they lived over top of moved out of the building to the front of the property. I was trying to do the same thing, but no availability at the time. But here is the kicker, the new neighbor that moved in under me was selling drugs out of his apt. car and on the grounds. Many people complained and the guy remained living there, so i decided to move the hell out since this is very dangerous. People pulling up honking, flashing light and in and out the building and this guy has a door bell on his door. Security was on the ground, but i couldn't understand why this guy was never caught and i could see undercover cops parked in the visitor area alot. I wouldn't sign a lease for these reasons: drug selling in the building, extremely loud music consistently, people over the capacity of what is required of a 1 bedroom. I elected to live on a month to month lease which were higher rental payments until i got the hell out of Suitland and moved to Bowie. I had no roaches or rats, appliances were old, but a decent apt. I've been without heat for about 3 days before and AC Service for about a week during the time period that i lived their. AC and Heating Unit blew and i got a new replacement. I never used the laundry facility since it looked nasty and unsafe. There were neighbors with animals as well in the building. The mailman has the finest legs placed on a black man i have ever seen and he's handsome as well. I am very happy now living in Bowie, Maryland.
