Pinewood Chase apartments are a rip off. I submitted an application in July and got approved within a week. I got a call back stating that I would be able to move in by the beginning of September. I received an call about 2 days prior to my moving date stating that my apartment was giving to a family who was sent out by a house fire. I can understand that things can happen to your house and you can become homeless in a matter of minutes. I didn't get upset I went ahead let the rental office to keep me on the waiting list for the next available 1 bedroom. I never received a call back until the end of Septemeber stating that I could have moved in the beginning of October. I agree to move in on the first weekend of October and was very happy to be moving into Pinewood Chase because I had heard so much good reviews about them. The Thursday before my moving date, I received a call stating that my apartment was rental out to a family from Katrina. I am in the process of trying to get my money back and they are telling me that my money is non-refundable if you approved for an apartment. Can I get some help' Who can I call for legal help'

Did you talk to the manager? A deposit is refundable, an application fee typically is not. There are several places to call but I would first send a demand letter to the manager. start your paper trail.
