I have read some of the comments and im a little stuck, are they really that bad. The rent is reasonable the neighborhood looks decent (during the day). Is there one side thats better than the other. please help

shamore, I was just approved the other day for these apartments and I looked at two apartments one in section 2. That section is a mess. It is too many kids and they were trying to put me on the bottom floor. I wasn't having that. My question to you is building 5619. Do they hang out right there? I talked to a lady that lives in the build who just moved in about 6 months ago. She said that it was nice and she haven't had any problems. That is the build I will be moving in.

I CAME BY TO VISIT THE APARTMENTS IN THE EVENING AND IN THE BACK OF SECTION 1 THERE WERE A BUNCH OF BAD-ASS KID JUST STANDING IN MIDDLE OF THE STREET LIKE AND WOULD NOT MOVE FOR A CAR. I WOULDNT DARE LIVE BY 5613 WERE ALL THE YOUNG GUYS WERE SITTING ON THE STEPS. IM MOVING TO THE FRONT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE WERE A FEW GUYS HANGING OUT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THANKS SHAMORE I WILL BE FOLLOWING YOUR ADVICE. ? ARE THE LEAKS ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR ONLY.

I know people that live in 5617. They all have the same complaint. Leaks, kids all over the place. It really don't matter what floor you live on, because these 30 year old a/c furnances run by water, the neighbor on top of you, their furnance is gonna over flow, and you are gonna have a bad leak in your utility closet. It will take about some weeks for maintenance to respond. And when they do respond, a half ass job will be done. Then you will have to call them back to plaster your ceiling. That's when you have to contact the PG County housing authority. They have so many fines against them for not keeping up the units. This property is very popular with PG County Housing Authority. I'm speaking of this from my own experience. I have neighbors that just moved underneath me, and they only been here for a week and their ceiling is leakin already. Alot of things in these apartments need to be replaced, especially the a/c units. If you decide to move here. Have plenty of fans and a window unit. We will have days, sometimes weeks, this summer where we won't have any a/c. Sassy06, I bet they didn't have your apartment ready on the move in date they told you it would be ready. If it was, It is a miracle.
