After dealing with the new management company over the past few weeks, I learned that things are not always what they seem. I was almost a resident, however, in the beginning I was told that all utilities were included in the rent. Once approved, the day I arrived to sign my lease, I was then told that the new management company was making changes and I would now be responsible for paying my own utlitlies (gas, water and electric). Aside from that, after being told that my apartment was ready for move in, I had never actually seen the place because it was not actually ready and they couldn't show it to me. Instead, I was shown a very nice demo apartment which I liked. However, once I saw the actual apartment, it looked nothing like the demo and it did not meet my expectations. All in all, we were deceived a number of times and finally decided not to move there. From that I also learned that we lost our $100 holding fee because we didn't cancel within 72 hours. Bad business on all accounts. Lesson learned, don't apply for an apartment unless you have seen it first and get EVERYTHING in writing before committing.
