I moved here after living in the heart of SE. I must say, SE was better than living in Silver Hill Garden Apartments. My apartment has the following promblems: problems with heat in the winter and problems with the AC in the summer; MOLE; I have seen mice and roaches not to mention water bugs of every sort. I will say after a few complaints about bugs it has gotten alot better because they have treated my apartment on numerous occasions for bugs. I was dissapointed from the day i moved in and only God knows that I wish i could have packed my things and turned around. First the model apartment they showed me looks nothing like the apartment i moved into. Secondly, I was told that all utilities were included until i surprisingly received a letter on my door which stated "We will not accept your rent until your utilites have been paid." I was shocked! I called the rental office and this is what i was told "Well we made a mistake when we told you all utilites we included. Morgan properties gave us the wrong information so we gave you the wrong information. I have been paying utilities since then and i really can't afford it. I have to pay a trash fee, water bill and sewer fee. the funny thing is the sewer fee is 32.00 every month. Next, the 3 young ladies that work in the office are all ghetto, ignorant, unremorseful and unprofessional. Once you sign your lease they can care less about you or your children's home environment. Yes! it is about the money and these apartments are not worth it. If you want, water bugs, mice, roaches, no heat, no ac and a bunch of unprofessional people to work with you have indeed chosen the right place. Good luck! I hope you won't ignore these warnings because you will regret it.

I lived at Silver Hill Garden Apartments, renamed Station Square Apartments under the recent acquisition by Morgan Properties, from 2007-2008. I must agree with you - it was the worse experience I've had with renting. Due to old and faulty plumbing the apartments have endured tremendous water damage over the years, resulting in accumulated moisture and mold. The staff is incompetent and rude. Not to mention the neighborhood is ghetto and dangerous. It's a great location - directly across from the Metro, I think that's what initially attracted me to live there. The grounds and landscaping consist of mature unattended trees and shrubbery, reminiscent of the time when Suitland was a nice place to live.
