I have lived in Sussex for the past year and a half and have only 2 minor complaints. The cabinet space leaves a bit to be desired and so does the parking situation. There are not nearly enough spaces for the number of tenants they have, especially considering they have 3 BR apartments. There is on-street parking, but that increases risk of break-ins to your visitors car. They start towing at 10pm and there is no such thing as visitors parking or passes. Your visitors HAVE to move their car to the street after 10pm.

On the up-side, Sussex has the best management team I have ever come in contact with. They are always friendly and polite. None of that ghetto mess. Most requests are done w/i a 24 hr. time period. If it will take longer, they tell you up front and explain why. The 3 BR's come with 2 full baths; one in the master bedroom and the other in the hall. Great if you are getting a 3BR with more than one adult. The apartments are very spacious and the neighborhood isn't bad. Every now and again you get someone that wants to play their music too loud outside your window, but for the most part, there is little to no loitering and no real disturbances.

They are pretty strict with some rules; like noise disturbances. They believe in all tenants being able to have a comfortable environment, so if you are a constant hassle they WILL give you a 30-day notice. There are a lot of kids in the area, because there is a high school and junior high right up the street, but none of that hanging in the halls and outside the building mess.

Oh, another downside is the price. A 1BR is 820 and a 2 is 1040. Not bad if you have a room mate, because all utils are included. I have to move next month because I am splitting from my roomie and can't afford it.
