Good morning. Im a resident at WHS and have to say that the apartment is a nice one. It's sizeable and has a nice dining room with exposed brick, HOWEVER, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything that you next door and upstairs neighbors are doing. We have also had our car broken into and had our navigational system and ipod stolen. We have had our car towed as well due to the fact that they would not give us a permanent parking sticker in the beginning. Another thing, it's not the place to live if you do not own a car. The shuttle bus that takes the people to the Metro Station only runs Monday-Friday and it stops running on those days at 7:25 PM. So on the weekends you are stuck and if you come home later than 7:25 PM you are stuck.
This development would be a lot better if the rental office staff were not so uptight and nasty. I had WHS workers barge right into my home. They were standing in my living room. They didnt knock or anything. Just came in. I was very upset and told them to get out. Then they came back with the Rental Office Manager and she accused me and drilled me about having a dog, which I didnt have one. I was very upset at the way that she approached me, and all the uproar upset my infant son.
When my lease is up, I'm soooooo getting out of there. My experience with them has been horrible. I also believe that I have a build up of carbon monoxide within my apartment and I am in the process of trying to get them to install a detector. We'll see how that goes.

The lady is very correct on this review, White Hall Square use to be such a wonderful place to live, and it was very hard to get in. I lived there for 10 years. It really has gone down, and continues too degrade. Management needs much improvement.

Finally somone had the guts to say something abut this complex. I use to live in Whitehall Square back in 2000-2005 and I was glad that I had moved. This person is absoulutely correct. Back then the management was pretty bad so I can just imagine what it is like now. The maintenance men at the time were going into peoples apts and robbing therm. Wow, I guess they still have not changed huh?

I live there now and it's not that bad. Yes maintenance is a little slow and yes cars get broken into and yes the walls are thin and yes you have your occasional gunshots but hey it could be worse. You could live in the apartments right up the street from whs and actually get shot, or maintenance never comes or your car gets stolen or management could do nothing. WHS is not the best place to live to but trust me it is so not the worse and if you do have problems and the apartment manager is not solving them then go above her head to her boss and complain.

I would have to agree with the LosOjosCafe.. The management is not the best that I've endured. I would say there are 2 employess (a lady and a gentleman)who go above and beyond the call of duty and they work in the Leasing office not the business office. I've come home on numerous occasions to find things in my apartment misplaced or shuffled around. Which created tension in my household because one person would blame the next. I told my boyfriend that I thought someone was coming in there during the day eating our food and drinking up our stuff. I know for a fact that maintenance comes in the home during the day. When I moved in there were some things that needed to be fixed. My son noticed the other day that something had been fixed....which meant that someone came in and fixed the issues without informing me that anyone had been there. I find that EXTREMELY unsettling. The grounds of the complex are beautiful..but the parking SUCKS!! I can't have company because they have to park 3 miles from my apartment in order to not get towed. I can't wait until my lease is up because I am out of there.
I do believe that it is a good community for someone just starting out on there own..but for a seasoned renter, its not very promising.
