It is weird that i see all these negative reviews about Windham Creek now because my boyfriend loved it when he lived there. (He moved out in Feb 08 to get his house) When I went to the rental office to apply for an apartment, there were no vacancies... So either the lady lied or there are a lot of angry residents that are too lazy to move the Hell out. I will be glad to move to Windham so if people in there dont like it, MOVE OUT!

I have read all of the responses negative and good. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I have been a resident since 2001. I don't have a lot to gripe about. I have never had a problem with parking in my area. People complained and now we have assigned parking which has made it worse for some! I have no kids to complain about hanging my building only the ones who hang out constantly in building 5208. PARENTS can control their children, not the rental office. It is up to the parents to pull their children out the hallways and street and make them play and hang out in the designated area. The rental office does have a no loitering policy in the lease agreement so it is up to rental office to enforce it when you complain. I do however, have a problem with maintenance. They are slow to respond to everything! We have been having problems with hot water in our building (5202) for the past 3 winters! In the summer it is fine, soon as the cold and wind comes we are a mess. The residents are calling the rental office everyday and all they seem to do is make temporary solutions which only last a few hours. We get no response when we call the emergency maintainence line. I have called Property Standards 301-883-6100 to get help on numerous occasions. The problem is still on going. I have called Lana Bright, Regional Manager of the Apartments and she NEVER calls back. We shouldn't have to wake up in 30 and 40 degree weather with no hot water. If you don't pay rent they are quick to put a note on your door for non-payment. Fix the problem permanently and stop doing quick fixes that don't work. When the complex was coming up for inspection they were srambling to fix ever single detail from the rooter to the tooter to pass and they can't fix a big prolem like no hot water for a whole building??? That would seem unacceptable and very inconvenient to anyone especially someone which a child like me! The new management is alright in some ways. They have put in new windows but it is still very drafty in my apartment. The landscaping is nice. The gate they put up is good but the side gate on Belgreen Street is constantly broken. If you ask why I stay the answer is because I love my apartment! I have no pest problems, it is roomy 2bdr,2 full baths, I love the location close to Metro and beltway and the rent in the area is reasonable. Yes, I have looked around and wanted to move but the prices out there are outrageous and I can't find anything to give me the same price for the space that I have. Every complex has its fair share of problems you can either have a voice and try and make a change or get away from the problem.
