I live here currently and the apartments are terrible. The kitchens are small and outdated, thin walls (neighbors and music are non-stop), roaches are everywhere and the management staff is (surprise!) very rude and unprofessional. The rent - the $50-100 or so you might save by not renting a comparable apartment in Silver Spring, isn't worth the hassle of living here. If you have a request to repair ANYTHING, trust me, it won't be done. Excuses abound -really it's just the folks here are too lazy and incompetent. That's just one of your worries - you'll probably enjoy the guys who just hang out at all times of the day and night, or better yet, you can always get first look at the police who are here weekly to track down offenders. They were here a couple of days ago and one of them said to the other "We have two in here to get."

Let's not forget the property manager, Jewell, who has one of the nastiest dispositions this side of world. She is by far no GEM. Some of the stories of encounters with her from other residents are pathetic. My own was very interesting - Landlord and Tenant is addressing this for me. She doesn't have a chip on her shoulder - more like a concrete slab. You'd think we were put here for her sheer abuse and not because we're paying something called rent. The other office staff run scared around this tyrant too. They also can give "attitude" when you try to get something done.

To top everything off, we're going to start having holes put in our walls so they can finally address the water leaks that have been a constant problem in this place. I see more roaches in my immediate future.

I'm about to close on a house so I feel comfortable giving this review now. Please consider this before renting here. No agenda here - I'm just trying to make sure you have a good understanding of what you're getting into.
