On a scale from 1 - 10, for raising a family, Mapleview gets an 8. However
The surrounding area makes it a 2. People hanging out does nothing for the area. The schools are fantastic especially if you have younger kids 12/13 and under.

Also, the management needs to carefully screen the potential tenants. But I guess it is only natural that certain types of tenants are going to move into an area or place with an average attraction.

Overall, I would reccommend Maple View because the building is quiet, maintenance/management = responsive to all inquiries, great location - especially with all the changes in Silver Spring, there is a roach problem but not in all units. My Unit is okay. One time I was asleep on the sofa. Suddenly I was awakened by a roach crawling on my arm. This has never happened. But just know that roaches are in the building.

But if you have to move there while you get back on your feet or make some kind of transition in life, it is okay for awhile. It is a better move than a lot of other places.
