It's a classic get what you pay for. It's cheap, cheap, cheap, but leaves a lot to be desired. Although the office staff is VERY helpful and friendly (and will go out of their way to work with you on most anything), maintenence is super quick and friendly, and the apartments are huge, it's got a lot of issues.

The roach problem is AWFUL. I'm a neat freak and it's still infested in here because of dirty neighbors and an overall building problem. Disgusting. The entire places smells pretty nasty (cooking and mildew), and the elevators are slow and packed. Also, it is horribly hot in here - so much so that I know I have a hard time sleeping because of it. The top floors are worse, though - I don't think it's this bad on the lower floors. The laundry is a joke, people take your stuff out and throw it on the floor and half the time the dryers don't even work.

Also, the neighborhood doesn't inspire much of a feeling of safety, although I've never experienced an actual problem.

But...it's cheap and the office staff is great. Close enough to commute into the city and also good for U of MD, College Park students. I still would not recommend it though, and I'm looking forward to moving out.
