Improvements have been made since The Donaldson Group have taken over, but there is much left to be done. Maintenance is a nightmare, you will have to wait months before any maintenance issues are addressed, even the simplest matter.
My infant son was constantly sick because of the mold caused by water coming from Lord knows where into my bedroom closet, bathroom, and living room. Repairs were not done until I sent a letter by certified mail to the office, which I thought rather pitiful. My children were restricted inside most of the time for fear that they would be shot or robbed at the playground. Ashford at Henson Creek is not the kind of place it appears to be, don't be fooled by the good looks outside, it is a TRYING experience living there. Notes posted on the door in neon colors stating that your rent has not been paid only to discover that it was really meant for your neighbor's door, and by the way, no apology from the staff. Suspicious hole in the bathroom wall which by the way could serve as a peep hole from the maintenance closet. Big dirty wet spots in the carpet that happened when the ceiling suddenly spews out water and the promised steam cleaner dosen't show up until five days later.
