I moved here in July 2007 because my sister lived on the property. I moved into one renovated apartments that was destroyed in a fire that they had in 2005. Overall, I like the size of the apartment, but everything else here is just horrible. Here are a few of my complaints: 1). The kids here on this property are out of control, rude, disrespectful and just bad. I set on my balcony and actually watch these children destroy the playground everyday. I can't open my windows to let fresh air in without hearing all those kids screaming and hollering constantly. They're just like "pack rats". They all come in a group of eight (8) or more at one time. There is too much activity at the playground, the bus stop and at rental office after hours. 2). The gun fire around here is another issue. There is constant gun fire around here on this property. There are drug dealers who live on this property and it has been mentioned and told to Management on several ocassions, but nothing has been done about it. The constant gun fire is over in the area of building 5955. That is the worst being that I know of on the property. I have spoken to so many of my neighbors and they have mentioned that they use to live in that building and after being robbed and whatever else, they had to request to be moved some where else on the property to get out of that building. So heed this warning, do not let them move in in that building or on that side period. 3). As far as the grounds go, everywhere you look, there is dog mess. I don't understand people who have pets (dogs in particular) and they refuse to clean up after them. They actually let their dogs release themselves right on the concrete where people have to walk and get to their apartments. I'm so embarassed at how much dog mess there is around here, I don't invite anyone to my home. I go to them. I also don't want to risk my company having their cars broken into at any given time, day or not. The cleanup crew that come in the morning to clean the grounds and the inside of the buildings do a great job, but as soon as those kids get home from school, you will find sunflower seeds in the hallway, outside, you'll find empty cans of sodas, empyt bottles of water, paper wrapers, you name it, you'll find it. Some of the people are so triffling that they are too sorry to take their grabage to the appropriate trash sites, that they will try to hide it in the bushes near the apartment builing where that attracts the cats and maybe rats and mice. And that's another problem that they have around here. They have so many stray cats and kittens roaming this complex that it's unbelievable. I myself am frighten of cats and they weren't too bad on this side where I stay at, but now they found there way over here near the rental office and they play in the parkling like its a baseball field. 4). The other problem here is there installation. There is none. You can hear everything that everyone says in there apartments because of the poor installation that they did here. I hear my neighbors snoring, having sex, fights and arguments. Phone call conversations, everything. Where's the privacy at' There is none. 5). Laundry facilities, that's a joke. The machines stay broke more than working and there are only two washers and two dryers and you have share those with two buildings. I was told that when I moved here that they were going to upgrade the laundry rooms and more washers and dryers and that never happened. The kids use the laundry rooms to play in and they constantly keep breaking the machines. They also use the laundry rooms for having sex and for smoking or using drugs. I feel as though I've been "hood winked" because they made all these promises and have done nothing and have the nerve to ask for this outrageous rent that they want for these apartments. It's like a baby ghetto over here and I can't wait to leave. There website states there is a tennis court and basketball court, no there isn't. That's a lie. I was told that the kids were so bad and that they were constantly having problems and altercations at the court that they took them down. I'm not surprise. And number 6). The patios and balconies. These people treat them like they are mini storage centers. They have so much junk on their patios and balconies that its ridiculous. I've seen where some has actually put a living couch and love seat on their balcony and consider that as patio furniture. I've seen tons of boxes, vaccum cleans, kitchen tables, exercise equipment, etc. the list goes on. Overall, if you care about where you stay and have pride and dignity, don't move here. It's not worth the money or the problems that come with it. So many people are trying to move as soon as possible. Some have actually broken their leases to move from here. Oh, I left one other important item. . . 7). Heat - You will freeze here. This past winter, they went into all the apartments and changed the thermosat and set them to 72 degrees. It was freezing in here. You would call to the office and ask them could they please change the settings to at least 75 and they told you NO!!! This is suppose to be a centeral heat and air complex. We the tenants have to pay our electric bill not Heather Hills. They're reason for doing this was because of the gas bill. They pay the gas here and it said that when maintenance went into so of the apartments during the day and no one was home, the heat was way up between 80 and 85 degrees. So now everyone on property has to pay and freeze for other's stupidity! They have poor management skills. At the present time, I don't know who owns this property. It has been changed twice since I've been here, because of bankruptcy and funding and misuse of appropriate funds. That's why the property looks so bad. They were in the middle of renovating the whole property, but once the contractors weren't being paid, everything just stopped. Production just shut down and they left. I could on for days, but my fingers are tired. If you don't believe me and you still want to take a chance and move here, my suggestion would be to take a drive around here in the complex on a Friday evening after 5pm and or drive through on a so called nice Saturday after and you'll see all the monkeys, (the children) swing and hanging on the playground equipment. Think wisely before making your next move anywhere.

I feel you on some of the issue's, like the kids. Parents please, take more interest because they are running wild. I live on the basement level and all summer long they would bang on my windows and run, put them in some type of productive activities. And yes, they will freeze you out unless you call a hundred times and complain about the heat. They're definitley not enough washer & dryers for the number of people using them and more cats live here than people. You come out in the morning and the cats are having a meeting on top of your car. Maintenance is pretty good and so is the staff, except Shay. She has to absolutely hate her job. She's rude and seems to be very lazy. You'll come into the office and if she acknowledges you,the look she gives is as if you've done something to her. She's taking up space, get rid of her. Overall I think it's a better place tha most to live.
