I totally agree, with the other negative comments made about Heather Hills Apts. I signed my lease in 08 for a year. Looking forward to living in my first new apt. i was excited. Yet, after several months of living there I realized it would've been more affordable as well as comfortable if I lived in SE. Coming out of college I lived in some low income areas, but at least the were honest about it. I had the neighborhood gang, hanging out and playing dice in the building. Not only do they not make an attempt to be discrete, they also do it in front of the main entrance to the lobby of the building. And to have lived on the top floor, my neighbors above where the loudest in the building. (i had a nest of pigeons living in my vents above my lil girls bedroom and mine). And though you call the leasing office to get assistance. The management company is in all likely "new" and have new clue of the problems that exist with the property. I lived there for a year and never able to use the luandry facilities because they where converted to storage due to all the incomplete construction projects. They actually painted the buildings and 'taped' all the door numbers back on "tape". If you are looking for a nice affordable place to live, i definently wouldn't recommend Heather Hills, unless you like living with birds. Oh, and don't stay outside to late, I was robbed at gun point my first 3 months there

Everyone has mixed opinions, but I have lived there since 2007 and I really cant complain. Yes there were Black boys in the hallways on somedays, but they dont have proper parental guidance at home, so I cant worry about that. Now we have security that drives around the area and I feel safe. My little girl goes to school and I can get to work easily. The bus comes into the complex so that's a plus, they just opened a community room with games and PC's for the children, and there's a swimming pool. So all in all, you get what you pay for. I pay 870 for a 1 Bedroom with a dishwasher and fireplace. I cant pay 870 anyplace else. An apartment is temporary, so hopefully all of you can stop complaining and make plans for upward mobility.
