Big Apts and Bargain

Firstly, I am a REAL resident of building 4301 (the main building tower) and you can TRUST WHAT I'M SAYING HERE. READ THIS. I've lived in Iverson Towers for 3 years, and I have NEVER EVER seen a mouse, rodent, or roach in my apartment - Believe me, I would've broken my lease immediately if I had. I can only imagine if those rodent coments are true at all, which I seriously doubt, those residents must be particularly filthy and causing their own rodent problem. BELIEVE ME ON THIS - 3 years, never seen a rodent or insect at all in my apartment. I've even bragged about that to other people in other communities. A on the cleanliness factor at Iverson Towers. Management is always kind and they speak whenever I pass them (and it's not like I live with them, so I have very little dealings with them), and I actually agree Bruce seems a little arrogant but is really responsive when there are problems and he quickly addressed a noise problem on my floor (those particular residents are still a little loud at times but MUCH better and it was obvious they had received a notice). Biggest PLUS of all is the apartment size though. Seriously, view the apartments for yourself if you're apartment searching - they really are very spacious and I ALWAYS get comments about the size of my 1 bedroom (with large furniture, I still have plenty of walk room and open space). The living room is HUGE and has a wall panel which gives the appearance of a side section of the living room (for a desk or sitting area). I absolutely love the living room/brdm/dining area/and kitchen size. Need more bathroom counter space though (I bought a shelving unit from Target for addtl space). Wish the bathroom was larger. The kitchen is perfect (nice-sized, well-kept cabinets, and dishwasher. I don't work there, don't even know them personally (just Bruce's name), SO TRUST ME, no reason to say nice things about the apartment community that aren't true. THEY REALLY HAVE NICE SPACIOUS APARTMENTS at an affordable rate (mine is around $830 with utilities included), and I've never had any security problem (key entry bldg, lighted entrance and open lobby, gated almost all the way around at night). It's safe and well-lit. Never had a problem getting a parking space (and that's 3 years, y'all). True what they say about credit-laundry and visitor spaces, but this IS DC metro area. Besides, it's easy to get guest parking passes. Last note, ON ELEVATORS - they've been remodeled and are wood-grain interior and attractive (I was so glad to see the upgrade), looks upscale. Was down for repairs several times in 03, 04, and 05 - that's true, but it wasn't tons of times (I'd say for ANY HIGH RISE, if you can't take the steps if the elevator is ever out, live on the lower floors - it's common sense. Every high rise I know of has the elevator(s) down or serviced periodically. But has not been down at all over the past months. BOTTOM LINE - When coming home, attractive and clean grounds with flowerbeds and plenty of parking spaces (NEVER been unable to park my car, EVER), nice, clean lobby and woodgrain elevator. Nice, big apartments, see for yourself, great rates - I've checked around, those 2 things alone are bragging rights, seriously. Apts in MD/DC are often small and/or overpriced, but these really are cozy apartments to come home to... trust me. I almost want to post my phone number...
