I've been living in the Iverson Towers Apartments for over 1-year, and it's been the worse rental experience of my life. Where do I begin'
First, it's a high-rise apartment building, with 11 floors. Having a working elevator is critical to comfortable living situation. However, during my 13-month stay, the antiquated elevators have been out-of-service no less than 5 times. Further, the water has been turned off, without notice or plausible explanation, at least three times.
As for the noise and the tenants, I'm certain the neighbor above me has a jungle-gym within their apartment that they use between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00 p.m. -- one night it went as late as 2:30 a.m. And yes, before you ask, I wrote the management staff twice about the matter, however, without resolution.
The grounds are unremarkable and having a unit that faces the back of the property is the worse. If you're not awakened by the sounds of gunshots being fired, you're most certainly accosted by a tenant - or a tenant's guest - playing music loudly from their car radio.
Finally, I have reported car thefts to which I've been a witness, and on other occasions, I have watched as people helplessly searched for their vehicles that were stolen in broad daylight...thus the 37% increase in my car insurance when I moved to PG County.
So, would I recommend Iverson Towers Apartments' While yes, the apartments are quite spacious and inexpensive, relatively speaking (I live in a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom unit, with all utilities included for just over $1000/month) I would have to caution any potential renter on renting at Iverson Towers Apartments.
