I wrote a review back in 2006, because I was really displeased with management and the upkeep of the Marlow Plaza apartments. I still reside here, because I am saving up to buy my first home. But, I must admit since Equity Management took over and there has been a rental office staff has been replaced with a courteous, respectful staff, Marlow Plaza gets a "thumbs up" for "most improved community"! The parking lot is kept clean, vacant apartments have renovated kitchens with new appliances, the bathrooms are renovated and now the dining areas have ceiling fans! The lobby and elevators have also been renovated. The elevators rarely break down now! Even the Marlow Heights police and PG police have stepped up surveillance of the area. You rarely hear of any crime in the area now, maybe a car breakin every now and then. But nothing like before. Just the other night, the community center was swarmed with Park police, because some teenagers were playing on the property or causing a disturbance. You can't change the bad kids, the parents are at fault for that. But, if you catch one of 'em in the hallway playing, just report them and management will make an example out of the parents and evict them!! Although, Target Security, does not have someone manning the security desk in the lobby anymore, it still seems safer now. And although my rent is a little steep for a 1-BR, no balcony, I'm ok until I move in my house!

Maybe you received better treatment than most of us from the office staff..I can't tell, yeah a lot of renovations have been made to the property, but the current staff needs some renovating themselves.
