Oxon Park was my first apartment. Although the approval process took about 1 week and a half. I was happy with my choice. The units are rather small but have enough room to consider it livable. I had minimal roaches no mice and no mice the only issue I had was a cat that seemed to live in my building (2507) and i'm terrified of cats. Parking was always sort of an issue but I didnt mind parking on the street or in the back lot. The neighborhood sits directly on southern ave. which is S.E. on one side and Maryland on the other so there are certain things you have to expect. Please be sure to use locking bolts and nuts on your tags and tires. The young dudes from 25th aka Shipley terrace are some straight kleptos so if you have an older model vehicle they might mess with your car. Security was cool they did actually walk the property and shoe off any trespassers. But there was one guard that I would frequently find at my cousins house a few buildings down smoking weed or playing video games. The staff was nice a maintenance took care of my every need. For a first apartment it was cool. I would live there again if they renovated. i can't deal with a window AC unit and heat that comes from the floor. This neighborhood is definatly not for older couples or adults. This community is more for a younger crowd that are looking for a nice place with cheaper rent.
