I took this apartment because it was the first thing available. Because I'm on a higher floor, I have a nice view, and I like the large windows. The apartments are roomy in general.
However, the fixtures not modern, though the appliances are. There is a roach problem on the first level which can be embarassing when you have guests. There are vents in each apartment which allows you to smell whatever someone's cooking or burning. The heating and air conditioning are the old style forced air type, which don't work well because the windows aren't energy effecient.
Maintenance is great--they do respond within 24 hours everytime, and mostly within hours of your request, however, they didn't complete all the repairs that I had listed in my move-in checklist.
This building is great for it's convenience to the metro, shopping areas, food stores, and the like. You can literally buy anything you want within walking distance, and I guess that's what you pay for.
If you don't like noise, then this is not the complex for you. It's located adjacent to Branch Avenue, which is a main thoroughfare to the beltway, and transit area for ambulances.
