Great quiet location to major highways and exceptionally quiet community, considering proximity to DC. Really great for someone who chooses not to afford upper NW prices but needs to commute via car or Metro to the city often.

The discerning shopper should be prepared to travel as immediate store options are not high-end and the greater community is supported by working-class yet safe neighborhoods.

On-site rental office staff is very helpful and friendly; however, issues raised to the level of the meddlesome regional manager, Gary H, can be very taxing. He has a very indifferent approach to resident relations and frequently doesn't follow-through without constant reminder calls, letters, etc.... Speaking w/ many senior residents it appears that the Kay Corporate team is questionable. The on-site staff again is great.

Maintenance staff is top notch; white-glove level of service!

Parking is well-lit, ample for residents. Guests are only allowed to park with a site permit given to them by the resident. Towing is strictly enforced for cars without site permits, expired registrations (no matter which state the plate is from), missing/flatten tires, etc.

The property lacks in-unit washer/dryer and dishwasher. Laundry facilities in each tower are locked/closed overnight.

Not very many options for kids outside of the seasonal operation of the pool; though a fully equip Hillcrest Heights Rec Center is just down the block.

The fitness center is....well lets just say that many two star hotels' makeshift "gyms" are better equip. You get the feeling that the gym only exist so that the marketers and leasing agents can check that box that they have one. The Gym and pools needs serious upgrading.

Residents are a rare racial and age mixture seldom experienced in the Mid Atlantic.

Residents appear to be an even mixture of suburban-get-to-know-your-neighbor versus don't-talk-to-me-urban-dwellers.

Mr. Harrod is very reasonable and is the only one who stays on top of these thugs who have been moving in TOTH!! There are people who work on cars, throw trash, smoke and deal in marijuana out in the open, and nothing is done about it from the staff!! Goes to show you, you get what you pay for in the ghetto! The only one who is honest and reasonable in the gentleman with the dreads and works in maintenance, don't know his name, but he stays on the job and does not interact with the thugs around here!
