I have been a resident since 2004. This complex is a few notches above the rest. I am pleased overall with the apartments. I live in 3202 and we have had a few issues such as: someone urinating in the elevators, elevators not working, people smoking weed and it lingering, children running down the hallways and roaches (really bad on the lower levels). Maintenance gets no complaints from me BUT the rental staff are way too hood. The females eyeball you like you are walking into the club, not like you are coming to conduct business....very unprofessional!!!
The parking lot has potholes that have been there and getting worse since I got here. The rent is reasonable for the location (close to the metro station).
Someone made a comment stating that your experience is based on how you make it....that's not true. You don't live in a building alone. I don't have roaches b/c I have never lived that way and I made sure to take the necessary steps to keep it that way. When you get nasty, hood neighbors you run the chance of getting roaches that want to wander but it's not b/c of you. You just have to maintain your surroundings. I would recommend TOTH. But like anywhere in the world you can't be too comfortable, meaning keep your eyes open. There is always a bad guy lurking....

I agree with you 100%! It relies on how well you keep your area clean! And yes, raunchy neighbors who throw loose containers, trash, pampers, etc., on the floor of the trash room, will of course cause you to have roaches and rodents. Don't people know that pests only come around filth?? My sister lives at Woods of Marlton, a high-class apartment community in Upper Marlboro and she hates it there! She is ready to leave. She said that the teenagers there are out of control, they hang out all on the front steps of their apartments, curse, play loud music, etc. Thank God we don't have kids hanging out in our lobby! So, it is up to the tenant to make the best of things and let the raunchy tenants know; those who don't care, that this type of behavior will not be tolerated! I know I do! If I see someone throwing trash in the hallways, I will tell them to please pick that up! Do your part and then the community will be livable for all!
