I am currently a resident at Top of the Hill Apartments in Temple Hills, MD. If you or anyone else you know is contemplating moving to this apartment complex, please let them read this notice. ALL of the buildings in this complex are INFESTED with MICE. Upper management is NOT doing what they need to be doing in order to solve this problem. Even once they claim they have patched up all of the openings where mice can slip thru, the mice are STILL coming in. Numerous residents have and are complaining about this problem. This is a HUGE HEALTH HAZARD & many people do not know this. Mice feces turns into dust...if this dust is inhaled, it can lead to cancer & possible death. Do NOT move to this complex whatsoever if you care anything about your health, especially if you have young kids/babies. Let me also mention that this mice problem did not become an issue for me until last August(2007). They moved me from one apartment to another because I saw one mice. Then, the new apartment they moved me to had 4 mice in it so far that I have found. Everyone in my building is complaining about this & one tenant who placed glue traps in her place caught 6 mice in one day. This is disgusting, ghetto, and for what you pay you should not have to live like this AT ALL. The corporate head haunchos for this apartment complex are NOT doing what needs to be done to correct this problem.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hallelujah! I am with you 100 percent! I just recently started having mice issues. I don't know what the exterminator is doing, but whatever it is that he's doing, it's not helping. I have seen mice in my apartment more since he's visited, then ever before. As you said, it is beyond a health hazard. I realize that we don't live in a glamorous neighborhood, but this is still our home. All we can do is take matters into our own hands. I wonder if they can be sued if you become ill…. You can contact the Better Business Bureau and make them aware of the issue and what HASN'T been done to correct the problem, and they will keep a record of it. Know your rights as a tenant!
