I wrote a review 8/6/08 and stated that I hadn't personally seen any rodents, well I lied apparently becasue now a week and a helf after the supposedly exterminated I have found mouse fecal on my stove top. Mind you it's no where else in my home except for the stove top. I am very pissed! I have taken every percaution to make sure this does not happen. Now I am wondering could the extermination brought out these disgusting little rodents. I dont like mouse traps and I dont want to have to use one because who wants to clean that up! Looks like I'll be on my way out soon!

I use to live in Top of Hill Apartments with my mother, father and two siblings and this was back in the late 80's, and there were no mice. We lived on the 6 floor and my ex boy friend was on the 4th floor, and he never complain about mice or roaches. I guess it was how the mannagers at that time ran the buildings, because if we did see a mouse or roaches they would have done something about it. We moved in 1992 to DC, but a coupler years later me and my kids father who I am now married to moved in Top of Hill Apartment in the same building on the lower floor. This was in 1998 and I remember seen a few mice and I wish I knew about the electronic mouse device, because all the outlets would have be covered. But I did purchase traps the sticky ones that I hate. ewwww. As I said before the managers who were there when I was there in the late 80"s did a great job, so that must mean the managers who there now are not doing their jobs, because the tentants would not be complaining so much. Or they might need to start looking at the people that are approving, and those are the ones who are moving from DC on section 8, and with their bad habits. These are the ones who are bringing in the rodents and roaches. So if Top of Hill managers get rid of them, I bet you things will be much better. Oh by the way you are so right, the elecronic mouse device does work I used them while staying at my mother-law's house til a partment was ready and I still have them and althought we do not have problem with mice, but I think they will come in handy one day (LOL).

I posted the original ad about the Mice problem at Top of the Hill. Trust me when I say that those electronic mouse devices do not always work to keep mice away or even to drive them out. I literally did EVERYTHING to get rid or the mice & keep them aways - every single thing..you name it, I did it. Also, trust me when I say that just because you don't see a mouse, doesn't mean you don't have one. I hate to say this, but I'm just going to be perfectly honest - this isn't to offend anyone whatsoever, but a lot of people keep a junky/clutterd home...they have lots & lots of things...common sense would say to you...that there's a strong possibility that because you have so much stuff in your home, you are not going to see the mice because they have many places to hide. For someone like me, where I kept a clean, spotless, clutter-free home, I actually saw the mice because they barely had any spots to hide in. Just something to think about...... Also I pose this question to all of you - have you asked your neighbors if they have mice or have seen mice? I bet you many will say yes. All I can say is good luck to those who still live at Top of the Hill.

Welcome to Top of the Hill! I posted a response a while back concerning a mouse in the hall on two occasions and no one did a thing. I live on the 3rd floor and since I purchased the black and decker electronic mice deterrents, I have not seen one at all. I've never had them in my apartment, but just on those two occassions I've seen them in the hall. Hopefully the problem will get better, but I do know that mice enjoy the outdoors and sunshine in the summer, but let's see how things go when it starts to get cold outside and they need a place to chill. Good Luck!

I currently live at Top of The Hill. I use a device to rid the mouse becasue I had problems with them as well. The device works. You just plug it in, and the are gone. BUT,the problem I do have is the water bill. When I applied, Mr. King STATED that the water bill was dued quarterly, but he lied, the water bill is due each month, and it is ridiculous!!!!!!!!

I have never ever had problems with mice or any bugs! What I do have a problem with are the over-packed trash compactors, trash thrown from the cars as people park their cars, and thrash in the hallways and elevators left by ADULTS! The only rodents that I see are large rats running from the grassy area behind the EXXON Gas Station, that's because the owners need to cut that wild bush on that property. ASK YOURSELVES THIS? How can you get rid of roaches and rodents in an apartment? Want to know the answer?? Keep the trash secured, in other words, bag and tie your trash up, just don't leave it loose and throw it in the trash compactors, like I've seen lately. Pampers, food containers (chicken), bottles, etc,. are often seen on the floors of the trash compactors room! CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES and then maybe we won't have these problems! Last week I saw a "certain" tenant take his time to park, remove his bags from the car, and then after he was ready to go in, HE THREW TWO BIG BAGS OF TRASH (McDonalds) ON THE GROUND NEXT TO TWO OTHER CARS!!! Now, you tell me, WHO causes rats and rodents to live among us?????
