I have lived here for 20 years. In reading the reviews I was shocked. YES: We have been through a lot of changes in staff but I actually believe the staff in place now is very good. The past 2 or 3 years since Brian has been here you will have to admit the level of professionalism has risen. The office use to consist of being closed during the week, phones always go to voicemail and the staff was all very rude and ghetto. We have come from walkin to see toenails being painted at the desk and fried chicken grease on your receipt to being greeted professionally with a smile everytime one of the staff see you on the property. I live in 3206 and I haven't had a lot of issues in this building. The very minimum problems I've had were all addresed immediately. This is the first time in 20 years I see the Property Manager at work on a Sunday and still stop and make time for what ever you have for him. Brian has always been pleasant to me and I believe the change that we are under is one for the better. I think it is all about your approach. With all these apartments I'm sure Brian is not able to see to as much as he would like. I would reccomend this complex to anyone who appreciate a great place to call home. The caring maintenance and office management is a cherry on top!

I and my family moved to Top of The Hill Apartments in 1988, and at that time everything was great. We no longer live there, but in 1997 I and my husband, we moved back to Top of The Hill Apartments. While residing there we noticed how the property has change and that is with mice and roaches. The apartment was on the ground floor, plus one of the rooms keep grewing mush rooms. Another is some of the kids thought it was funny to peep into our apartment, and not only ours but others, and I had to make a complaint about this. No!!! I would not recommend Top of The Hill to anyone, but if it was 20 years ago yes. I guess lot of the complaints maybe because of the people Top of The Hill is letting in and that's why people are saying bad stuff. I am so glad we are not living there any more, and hope not to every move there again. In fact I think all apartments in Prince George's County over the years has change and that is why people are moving to places like Waldorf, St. Mary, and further counties.

I have to disagree with you on that completely. I have been a resident too at TOTH for several years and so far so good. Yes, the staff has been changing a lot, but have you ever stopped to think that they are getting rid of the bad seeds? Just like you have bad staff, you have bad residents!! It is the PEOPLE who make a community safe and a great place to live, but if you have people who don't care about their environment, then maybe they should move some where else, and let those of us who care about our community stay. Your association with others matters as to how your environment will turn out. If you like loud noise, trash all over the parking lot, loud music, beer drinking in public, then you are considered "non-worthy" people. Also, remember that people who complain are usually the ones who never pay their rent!!! It is up to the residents to JOIN with the staff to make their apartment living the best that it can be!!
As far as people moving to Waldorf, St. Mary's county, I can tell you this, my daughter lived in a prestigeous apartment complex in Upper Marlboro; that is 70% military, and from what she has told me, and from what I've seen from visiting her, you can never point fingers until you really see what is going on. She is moving from there next month because of the "school-aged" pre-teens cursing loudly on the steps of the apartments, throwing soda cans, candy wrappers, dancing and playing loud music; even on the weekends, kissing on each other, and just horsing around, and they call this an "upscaled community" with state-of-the-art emenities?? She can't wait to move, and she has been there four years!!!
If it wasn't against the law, I wish that apartment communities would give tenants the choice to choose their neighbors, because I would surely choose the ones that REALLY CARE about their apartment community!! ALL PLACES IN THE WORLD ARE BAD, IT IS UP TO THE "PEOPLE" TO KEEP THEIR LIVABLE COMMUNITIES THAT WAY!!! Recently in the "GOOD OLD" state of Virginia, a maintenance man killed a tenant there and had the nerve to attend the meeting and served as the lead tenant urging the police to catch the killer, all the while HE WAS THE ACTUAL KILLER!! Also, Virginia has a vast amount of murders, rapists, assaults, robberies, etc., and one would not think that such a state would have that much crime. As I stated before, ALL PLACES ARE BAD, except it is the "BAD" people who makes it bad!!!
