I lived in Whispering Hills (administered by Reflection Knoll and part of the "Lakes" collection of 19 apartment complexes) for eight years, and didn't have major problems. The worst was that during rainstorms my closet carpet got soaked, and I was told nothing could be done to fix that, so I couldn't leave things on the floor that couldn't get wet. Otherwise, maintenance was pretty good about responding and fixing issues (once you work your way through the Henderson Webb phone system to report your problem).

I did have a few noise issues that I reported, and management sent letters to everyone in the building, which is their usual response. Doesn't do a lot, but the problems weren't that bad. The super-loud toddlers who lived across the hall went to bed at a reasonable hour, at least.

What I liked best about the complex was the setting--lots of trees and greenery, and a nice, fairly extensive residential neighborhood to walk in, along with a couple of nice parks. Whispering Hills is at the furthest edge of the Lakes, which means it abuts houses rather than more apartment complexes, which makes a difference.

Never had any problems related to being near a high school, and felt pretty safe. Never heard about any criminal activity in the area.

The apartments are really basic (no clubhouse, etc.), but generously sized, and a good value for the money, I think. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
