Now, I should of learned my lesson from the 6 months I spent in Cranbrook Hills... but I didn't.

I moved into Whispering Hills (it's apart of Reflection Knoll) in June of 2006. It was pretty good at first, but there were a lot of issues at first that were VERY SLOWLY dealt with after I moved in.

3 of the 4 curtains in my apartment were broken. The tracks that the windows slide on were chipped and broken (so I had to struggle to get the windows opened just a little) and in the closet of the large bedroom (of my 2 bedroom apartment) was a HUGE water heater and air conditioning unit. It took up half of the space in the closet and I couldn't even open the close fully where the water heater is.

When moving in the carpet was old and stained, and poorly cleaned. Patches where holes were filled in weren't finished (you can still see where the mesh is and how they just painted it the crappy eggshell color).

The kitchen was is total despair. The cabinet's are old and VERY dated. In fact besides the fridge, everything should have been replaced in my kitchen. (The floor tiles always come up when i stand barefoot on them!)

The apartment was a mess, but it was livable. So I called maintenance. They were nice on the phone and always helpful, but the guys who came out were rude and just not friendly. They were so condescending to me; it was insulting ("oh, your curtain's broken'" whatever.)

The neighbors, I thought were going to be the reason why this place would be okay for the year, but after like 3 months, these people moved in bellow me and have since then (now 6 months) play their music very loudly at all hours whenever they want, however loud they want. Nonstop. And they smoke in their apartment, in the hallways and make a total racket all of the time (even when driving in and out of the complex, loud, loud, loud!). I also have guys who would invite over they're pick-up buddies and would peel out of the parking lot to leave, SO LOUD! And if your window is open, fumes would drift in. SO inconsiderate!

Soundproofing' None. I can hear everyone in my building when they talk, but especially the people bellow me. They always yell and fight. I don't know why I haven't called the police! (Since Hen-Webb hasn't done anything but sent out a warning only for smoking, since they cant tell the tenets to be quiet!'!'!'!)

Parking' NONE. The entire community parks crooked because no parking spots are painted out. They paint a yellow dash on the "curb" and that's supposed to mean every can figure out where the parking spots are. Any handicaps spots are really just at the end of the lot, where there is a "ramp", but it's not a ramp. It's the "curb" painted yellow. Can't really go up that if you're in a wheelchair.

They're bad for garbage removal (since the dumpsters are tiny and fill up quick) and they're bad for snow removal. They plow real late in the morning (10 am or later) and they take days to plow the sidewalks (if you have nice neighbors, they shovel a bit...). They salt a little bit. After a week (if it snowed badly) they'll plow out parking spots, only if you've moved your car.

They're bad for car removal/towing and they don't really enforce anything they want you to believe they enforce.

Also, in the apartment hallways, they don't fix anything very well. The banisters break off of the walls all of the time, the lights in the hallways are always out, the door (the one that's supposed to lock" was broken for about 4 months, and the knob still is broken, it's impossible to unlock now!) And when a washer/dryer goes out, be prepared to go to Suds-ville, since they will not fix it for a VERY LONG TIME.

They will also take your security deposit and keep it. If the apartment looks remotely lived in they'll claim the apartment is a total mess and they'll make your security deposit and charge you extra to repair it (Don't bother fighting them in court, only if you have move in and move out photo's!). It's a total nightmare. How can you not live just a little in your apartment' I mean, sure I can go Howard Hughes, but I bet that won't be cleanly enough for them.

Did I mention bugs yet' Because in the winter, you get them. Ant's, silver bugs/water bugs, they all come out of the wood works and invade your space. And the silver bugs/water bugs get HUGE.

SO quick coverage: Bad service, Bad neighbors, Bad apartment quality, and Bad management. It's best to take your money and go somewhere else! RUN! Don't look back! RUN! RUN!
