I have lived at The Colony for a year now and am renewing and I am NOT a college student. For your information the person who wrote the previous message is a hypocrit because they are in fact a college student whose Dad pays thier rent and other bills. And if they have a problem they run to Dad to fix them rather than come into the office themselves and sit down like an adult and take care of any problems they may be having. Most of the problems that arise in this community come from students who come from wealthy families and have not be taught how to respect their apartments or neighbors or even throw out thier own garbage in a dumpster.

The staff is trying very hard to clean up the community and the trash that resides here and so far the message is getting around. In my block alone they have just evicted a resident for noise violations.

The community is beautiful. There is a great pool, they just put new equiptment in the fitness center, and I've spoken with the ladies in the office and they have said there is going to be more improvements done in the next year. Also, my service requests have been done in 48hrs each time. And by each time I've only had 2 in the past year because I respect my apartment.

It is the students who complain about thier service requests not getting completed however they are the ones going around destroying the property. They wonder where the service guys are meanwhile they are restoring the windows that they smashed in the night before in someone else's apartment. Or they are bitching to the leasing staff about a new door meanwhile it was their own roommate who smashed it in during a party at thier apartment. They expect for it to be fixed next day at no cost. On top of this I have observed them coming in to the office with attitudes telling the staff FU this and FU that but expect a warm welcome.

If you repect the staff they are extremely friendly to you and will bendover backwards to help you. It is childish, immature, rude people like the person who wrote the previous message that brings down the reputation of the community. If anything they are the ones who deserve to be sleeping in a box!

i think that you have a right to have an opinion, but please remember to stop generalizing college students who live in apartments. I have been reading other reviews from other apartments, and MOST of the time, it is poor management that is at the core of the problem....not college students.You MIGHT be right, however you need to be corrected. Yes, they are more likely to be rowdy,but they are students,and if you had kids, you would know that they can be at times immature, but like you making generaliztions, they have they right to be angry, if money---wherever it is coming from--is being dished out. And so what if mommy and daddy pay there rent...THEY ARE IN COLLEGE! Where else are they going to pay? By stripping, hustling, or stealing? PLEASE.
