I lived in a 3 story townhome a year ago. The place is pretty unique in having those in the towson area so we got one. we were horrible neighbors. we had parties all of the time- but so did all of our other neighbors. the right side (going up the hill) of bridgeman terrace was drug row. in atleast half of the apartments up there you could pretty much buy any drug you'd like. i'm not even kidding. the management were nice to me, because i knew the situation and how much stress they must be under... but when push came to shove you were just a number not a person. the pool sucks. the "gym" is retarded. the laundry wasn't all too bad.
The worst part:
Rent (3 bedroom townhouse): 1600
Gas (you pay to heat your own water too):300
Electricity: 100 (I have the same appliances at my new apt and we pay 40!)
Water/ Sewage: 20
"Garbage disposal":10
Conclusion- HUUUUUGE RIPOFF even if it werent party central (it was a fun place to party though)

Ps- I have worked in construction and they were remodeling the townhouse next to me and they used an illegal (atleast in NY) type of wood for indoor use. they used a wood typically used for decking etc. inside that contains arsenic (to kill bugs etc). if that place were to catch on fire you'd LOVE to breathe that in.

Obviously this person cannot do math maybe it's the amount of drugs and partying they did in college instead of studying. $100 dollar electricity bill and $300 gas bill equals a $400 dollar bill not $300.00 as the title mentions. This may seem like alot however when you live in a 4 story townhome with 3 or more kids walking in and out the front door, computers and tvs left on as well as loooonnnngggg showers and not being mindful of turning the heat off when you leave yes your bill will be higher. Also, welcome to reality with BGE (Baltimore Gas and Electric) raising thier prices. Everyone's gas and electric bills have sky rocketed. My bill which used to be $70.00 has gone up to $110.00 in the same apartment. Also, how is the management to know who is doing drugs, obviously friends are not going to rat out thier friends and have them arrested so why hold that as the communities responsibility. As far as remodeling goes everyone knows any remodeling has to be inspected by a fire marshall or inspector. No one would be living in there if it did not pass inspection. I hate when people put stuff out there to make someone or thing look bad when they are ignorant and obviously have no idea what they are talking about. They are trying to put the blame where it does not belong and why after a year are they putting up a bad message??? Obviously this person has no life. The place has its negatives and positives but overall for a college student or grad student like myself it is cheaper and nicer than living on campus. When I do get a high paying job will I be living here. No but its nice for now and cheap enough.

ps- no drugs, and a normal amount of alcohol. i was refering to my gas utility ($300) for my jan.'06 bge bill which represented the energy used to heat our home and our water. in january there is no school, so there are no parties, so there are no "people coming in and out." february was just as high.
