We have been living here for more than 2 years and we haven't regretted the time spent here. We are not sure why some other reviewers have such hateful words to say about Courthouse Sq Apt.

This place has so many tall beautiful maple and oak trees with beautiful green grass. Not to mention the various building appearances based on Colonial style. Some friends told us that this place looks like condos. That is true! There are many apartments that call themselves ıluxury apartmentsıEwith rent starting from $1000 and up, but once you look inside the apartment itıs just a plain basic apartment. With Courthouse Sq, every apartment comes with big French doors to a balcony and they have pool and tennis courts. Can you find an apartment like this with less than $1000/mo rent for a 2 BR apartment'

In the course of 2 years, naturally we had leaky faucets in kitchen and bath, broken curtain rail and a few other things that needed attention as anything does with daily use. Every time we call the management office for repair request, we received prompt care and service.

Although some other reviewers mentioned otherwise, we rarely experience noisy neighbors outside in the middle of night. In fact, this neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. I suppose things can be very different depends upon which buildings in the complex you live in. One section of the complex consists of 2-3 bedroom apartments which naturally attracts more college students sharing an apartment or families with kids. Our section is mostly 1BR (or 1BR den) and 2BR apartments; more singles or couples w/o kids.

Of course, no body is perfect and Courthouse Sq. is no exception. They often have water main breaks or problems. We probably had water shut-offs a half dozen times. But we are coping with it (at least they are trying to fix it instead of ignoring it). A couple of neighbors also told us that this place has been managed better before and theyıve seen a decline in the quality of management in the past few years. (One of our neighbors has lived here for 10 years! He knows what heıs talking about.)

My only real pet peeve is doggie piles. You just canıt walk on the lawn or even sometimes on sidewalks without seeing a pile! As a dog lover, this really bothers me. I am not saying that the management doesnıt put any effort on this issue because there are doggy bags and waste baskets placed throughout the complex. But I wish they enforce the owners to be a little more responsible. I guess, there are just too many irresponsible dog owners who cannot bother to pick up after their beloved dogs.

But all in all, we do love this place. People are neighborly, maintenance people are courteous and the place is peacefully surrounded by tall trees! Those who dislike this place, let me know when you do find a place you are happy with!
