From the very beginning, the management at Courthouse Square presemted an untrue picture of what life would be like living in this apartment complex.

The day we moved in the disappointments started-- a poorly painted bathroom, kitchen with missing moldings and painted slopily,even the kitchen range burners dod not light and the range top grates were missing.The concrete patio was filthy.

After three months, we were constantly being harassed by management until we agreed to sign another lease (the current lease was for six months). It was then we were informed that the remewal lease would be at a higher rate ( an increase of over 5% in the first six months).

At that time, the management began replacing all of the windows in the apartment. The existing wood windows which were of decent quality were being ripped out and replaced with cheap quality but new replacement windows *all vinyl*. These windows were not well installed and one of the sashes needed replacing in less than one month.

Several weeks later, we were infomed by management that the gas heat which had been included in the rent in our original lease would now be the tenant responsibility. Our estimation concluded that the new heating cost plus rent increases added approximately 25% to the cost of our original rent.

Lastly--when our second lease period was coming to a close--we signed an additional 3 month lease--at again a higher rate. Within 60 days we were informed that our lease would not be renewed and that we had to vacate the property prematurely given less than a two week notice. I made repeated calls to management regarding our wanting to remain on but were told the apartment had already been rented.

Our walk through when we vacated the apartment was also a problem; the maintenance supervisor (not the manager) did the walk through and tried to blame several nicks and scratches on the kitchen countertop on us and said that he would be discussing this with the manager.

My advice to anyone considering residing in this complex is this---make several visits to the complex before signing anything. Ask questions to several residents before deciding to sign anything. You simply cannot trust anyone affiliated with the management of Courthouse Square. They are liars!

I totally agree, everyone in the office is scared of the HUGE OVERWEIGHT ex manager who is now their area manager. This chic if you look at her can't stand herself. She wants to be skinny sooo bad I think she will starv herself to become skinny, even if she does accomplish this her skin will appear as if it hangs off and you'll know that she was FATT.Her staff will lie, cheat, steal, stabb you in the back all while smiling in your face. Be very very careful renting from these people... Best bet is to stay totally away from any of the communities owned by The Continental Realty Corp.
