Lately our apartment complex is being targeted by Pollards towing. We have up to three visitor parking spaces for four buildings. If a car does not have a resident sticker, Pollards has been coming around at night and towing vehicles. One resident told me a pizza delivery car was towed. My rental was taken from in front of my place the other night. I was told that I should have transferred my resident sticker to my rental because my lease agreement states the parking rules. When I mentioned there were no visitor spaces near my building, I was told that some had been available that night near the rental office- two blocks from my apartment. This policy has recently been enforced with an iron hand after a year of nothing being done. I've had family and friends visit overnight with no problem. Now, we face a $50 increase in our rent, an increase in the cost of doing our laundry in the machines, and predatory tow trucks coming around after dark to take away vehicles. While Courthouse square denies they are receiving any kickbacks from Pollards (who were terrible to deal with as well) I smell a rat.
