A bit small for the price, but doable

If you like living within walking distance from a grocery store and a fabulous mall, then this place is for you.
I really do think that they charge so much for apartments here is because of its proximity to the mall, the beltway and the city (I83 is a straight shot into downtown Baltimore..less then 15 minutes!). When you walk into the building the clubhouse and fitness center are a definite plus and it's great that the building has controlled access to it...but the rest of the apartment building has a "hotel" feel to it (which you may or may not like, depending on your tastes).
My apartment is a 2B/2B but the secondary room (which I live in) is terribly small with an even smaller closet in the room! I think the hallway closet might be bigger then my bedroom closet...you really have to check out the closet size in the apartments to make sure you will have enough room. Overall the apartment is around 900sq/ft which is ok I think if you live by yourself, but my roommate and I were tripping over all our furniture (and plenty of it was in storage already!!)
Maintenance is a bit problematic...we have had to call a couple times for the same issue and when they fixed our leaky dishwasher they had to be called up again later for it. And speaking of maintenance, some of the plaster is coming off of the walls and the dry-wall was bubbling...correct me if I am wrong, but an apartment less then a couple years old should not be doing that (and they have the audacity to tell us we are going to have to pay for that out of our security deposit!)
We can hear our upstairs neighbors every step...I have never heard anyone nextdoor to us, but man, either the people upstairs just like to listen to their TV's super loud, are heavy footed and like to scream when they talk, or insulation between floors is kinda shoddy.
Fitness center is great, but it is only open until 11 at night. Sure a lot of people go to bed by then, but a lot of people don't and I get home really late sometimes and I find myself rushing home JUST to get to the gym...I shouldn't have to do that for how much this place costs.
Overall I think this is a good place to live. The area is nice if you like the hustle bustle of city life but not all the stress, nice to have a pool on the roof of the building (provides a nice view!) and it is a pretty quiet (unless you live under the people living above me) complex. If you can get past the pricey-ness of the place, it is a nice place to live; I am only moving becuase I want to be closer to work.
