I lived here for one year in a bottom floor efficiency. The Heat was electric, and i had to buy a window unit air conditioner. The stone exterior and being on the bottom floor keppt it pretty cool in the summer. Problem with usualy ground floor pests like crickets. and window seal issues. Also the storm seal on the door was never installed. So i bought one and called maintanence to install it, only to come home to an open door. I am a 23 year old woman and it was 10pm. My door just opened a my touch.. after accessing i wasn't robbed and checking out my apartment knife in hand i inspected the door to find the maintance crew incorrectly installed the weather stripping on the doo while i was at work. All day my laptop, pc, cameras, speakers, and all other contents of my apartment open to all passerbys. I was furious. Parking is horrible. in 2004 a girl was mugged by knife point ( Goucher College student). Also the baltimore bus that runs right behind the apartments had a shooting, and a school teacher was shot to death in towson mall all in the year i was there. Better than living on cold spring lane, but still. Many nights i wish i had a pitbull to protect me. Great location remodeling pretty good. The upper floor remodels are better. All in all, be assertive with the maintance issue. Greasy wheel gets the oil. Great location, great for pet owners. If you don't like dogs, this place isn't for you. Nice landscaping. Very nice atmosphere and central location. Good price for towson area! Despite maintance problems I would reccomend it especially to single 20 somethings with pet dogs.
