This place bites the big one. I've lived here for a few years(being in school) and even though I myself am a college students, I often have problems with other students being too loud too late at night. My upstairs nieghbors sound like they're keeping an elephant in captivity and I've had to complain several times about their blaring rap music until 4-5a.m. (I kid you not). Drunk chicks get into catfights outside thurs-sat nights on a weekly basis. Usually once or twice every couple of months someone drunkenly believes that my apt is where their destination is and pounds on my door, sometimes well after midnight.
If you do live here make sure your parking pass stays up to date at all costs, the Greenwood towing facility is in the Ghe-he-he-hetto. Had to go there at like 2a.m. once to get my rental car(after being involved in an accident) back. it had been parked outside for literally twenty minutes after I got home and by that time, when I went outside to put the pass in the car, it was gone. This place also, delightfully, ONLY acepts cash. the towing facility itself looks like something out of a low-budget slasher flick. it is beyond me why the management decided they had to go with this towing company which is down in the city over any of the ones in the county. I'm just glad my tetnis booster was up to date and nobody decided I was worth stabbing.
The rent is high for the smallish apt you get, and contrary to what some say about being able to hear other people in ANY apt building, while this IS true, it is truly bad here at Kworth. Normal conversation can be heard through the wall, which makes it all the more delightful when my catycorner upstairs neighbor gets into a tiff with her boyfriend, usually 1-2 times per week. I just wish he would start doing more for her so I could stop hearing about his deficiencies as a love intrest and as a person in general.
The buildings themselves where probably constructed sometimes in the 1300's and i am surprised they have withstood the test of time as well as they have. The vinyl flooring just inside my front door is slightly raised towards the back which prevents me from opening it all the way. This is kind of nice though as i dont't need a doorstop, if i just push the door as far as it will go it sticks on the raised floor and stays there while i bring in groceries. a silver lining for every cloud i guess.
My toilet has stopped working, again.
My disposal has stopped working, again. and again.
Maintenance said they would handle it.
Also, possibly due to the age of the buildings, i don't know, but i CONSTANTLY have problems with my cable/internet.
The dryers are possibly the worst in maryland, usually takes at least two cycles (at $1.50 a pop) to fully dry a normal load of clothing.
Don't live here if you've got another option.

You are SO right. I cannot wait until my lease is up this summer. They won't let you out of your lease for anything! And I am very unhappy here. Here it is, 10:12 pm Friday night and I hear people running up and down the stairs. This will take place until 4am, easily.
