I have been highly disapointed with my experience at Kenilworth at Charles. It is an ideal apartment for party-loving underclassman at College. Almost every night of the week there are huge noisy parties, with drunk college kids stumbling all across the property and parking lots. After most weekend I have found broken glass and empty beer cans littering the parking lots. Its extremely noisy at night with the partying and noisy during the day starting at 7 AM with construction. Frequently there is weedwacking right outside my bedroom window at literally 7, 7:30 am, including on the weekends, I find it hard to get a good night sleep. Currently there is so much construction.
The parking situation is horrible for visitors, and driving through the complex is scary because so many of the residents are college students driving extremely fast and dangerously, I have personally witnessed three accidents and dodge potential accidents almost everyday.
Overall, the experience at this apartment has been very negative, but I think it is probably ideal for college party lovers. Myself, being a busy young adult going to school full time and working has foudn it hard to function here.
I did not renew my lease and am moving to another apartment in Towson because of this experience.

I am currently looking for an apartment in the Towson area. I very much like the setting of Kenilworth @ Charles. The rehabbed apartments look like quality. College students wouldn't bother me most of the time. I am wondering though: Are the parties mostly in the apartments up on the hill? At a former TSU Students suggestion, I went last night (Thursday) @ 10 PM to see for myself. You are right...there were several students walking up the hill carrying their 24 packs and the driving was a little tight. Would the apartments closer to the office be quieter?
Are there other good places to rent in Towson that are similar in price, but a little less noise and partying?
