In the three and one-half years I've lived at Somerset Manor, I must say that overall it has been a pleasure.

The good points:
* The apartments are huge, even for a one-bedroom.
* Good neighbors.
* Effective maintenence and office staff.
* Relatively quiet.
* Jen Air range in kitchen.
* Great showers here.
* Competitively priced.
* Lots of storage space.

The not-so-good points:
* Soundproofing between floors could be better. Between walls is ok.
* Older appliances and fixtures--kind of dated.
* No W/D in apartment. I have to go outside to next entrence to get to laundry.
* Noise from parking bewteen buildings echoes through windows. Loud motors or music seems to bounce off opposite apt building.

I would like to stay here for a long time. Rent goes up $15 every year like clockwork. Still, it's not a bad price.

I did have problems with flying squirrels a couple of years ago, but the maintnenence man got up in the middle of the night to remove the one in the apartment, which was excellent service! He found a hole in the wall above a cabinet and plugged it up. Haven't had problem since.

Never had bugs or other rodents. Can sometimes smell smoke from other apartments. I would highly recommend Somerset Manor for anyone needing a decent place to live.
