Very nice in some areas, but...

I?ve lived in Holly Station for 6 years. I know some of my neighbors, but most keep to themselves. The major problem is large numbers of teens destroying property during the summer months, but there is a strong police presence there. Quite a few officers live in Holly Station. Parking is tight on some courts, but everyone has at least one assigned space. The grounds are well kept, but the lighting could be improved. There are some areas of the property that are really, really dark.
Some neighbors get loud, but on the whole it?s a quite neighborhood.
Some of the townhomes, like mine, have antiquated fixtures, old discolored linoleum floors, and the carpeting is only designed to last for about 3 years. It takes an act of God to get any of these things replaced. But if you have a maintenance issue, they are pretty prompt about it. I did have a gas leak, though, and my furnace was not installed properly. After Washington Gas brought this to the attention of Holly Station Maintenance, it was repaired immediately.
In addition, the rent increases were astronomical $70 each time, and they needed to make significant improvements to the units before they can justify those increases. Month-to-month rent is $100 more a month than a regular lease and increases $40 to $50 a couple of times a year.
