Village Lake Apartments

It's Good From: snsmith02 Date posted: 7/9/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   Village Lake is pretty good...for the area it's in. It's supposed to be "gated access" but most of the time when I came home, I found the gate was stuck in the up position or the arm to the gate was broken completely off. Anyway, it's a nice place to stay, lots of older neighbours so there's not alot of partying. The lighting in the parking lot could be better, so people will feel safer. It took a while for repairs to get completed, but they were always done. When I moved in there was some sort of permanent frost that looked like phantom breath on my bay windows. It took them like a month to come replace the windows because I had to keep calling and harassing them...but they did it...My bedroom door was busted like someone used an axe on it but all they did was patch it up with some spackle crap. Other than that everything was ok. Also, it's card-access at the front door which is excellent, but sometimes the door didn't close all the way after each person, causing a huge security issue. Good, there is washer and dryer in the unit, and dishwasher also. The parking is tight some evenings and there is limited visitor parking. The apartments are within walking distance of the rental payment office and supermarket, dry cleaners, park, drugstore, library, gas station. The only thing is, these apartments are on the other side of another complex which is significantly louder and busier. There are alot of younger tenants there who like to sit outside on cars and smoke all night and look real shady. So watch out for that. On the other side is an apartment complex for senior citizens so you never hear much from over there. Pretty good for the price.
