Less than desirable

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
From the day that we moved in, we have had several problems with the maintenance and staff at this complex. The maitenance is quick to come a "fix" the problem, but 9 times out of 10 you will have to call them to come out and "fix" it again. They do such a half-a** job of fixing anything, that we are reluctant to call when something breaks unless it is an absolute emergency. We have also had problems with the leasing company itself.
These aparments are old, outdated, and in need of remodeling and repairs [built in 1981]. My dishwasher only washes dishes if they have been rinsed off so that there is not a speck of food on them. My oven is original to the apartment and will burn anything if you go by the directions on the box/recipe. The tile in the kitchen is cracked and peeling up and the carpet is old and in need of replacement. The windows leak and the heating & air conditioning unit is less than efficient.
Not to mention, when we moved in our rent was $650, after the first year we renewed our lease it went up to $665, when we renewed our lease the for the next year it went up to $680 and now we are getting ready to renew again for $700/month. They have made no improvements to our apartment to deserve this extra money. The only reason that we have not moved is because we are saving to buy a house and moving twice would be too expensive and time consuming.
Also, the "walk-in" closet is a joke. There is one rod to hand your clothes on, a two-foot wide shelving unit, and a water heater in the corner. Not my idea of a "walk-in" closet.
