Was good, now bad....

I lived in the Cedar Garden Apartments from 91-98. When we first got there, the place was nice, well kept, management handled any issues and problems that arose and the place was immaculate.
Then the ghetto moved in....gradually over the course of 5-6 years. The folks in the office stopped giving a damn about the residents, the halls got more dirty, the properties got banged up, they stopped landscaping and overall, just stopped caring.
My mother got sick of the place (as did I) and we moved. I occassionally drive through the area when I visit my mother and it's pathetic. The projects have moved to the suburbs.
Some of the surrounding complexes have eliminated their Section 8 low income housing residents because, sadly, the majority of bad ones made ALL of them look bad. The place next door is a good example - they even put up a rod iron fence around their property and their incidences of crime and vandalism have dropped completely. The Cedars need to follow suit soon..... For now, even though the apartment itself was HUGE, I can't in good conscience recommend the place to anyone.
if you HAD to live there, request to live in Valdivia Court. It's the best place around there.
