Cedar Towers is an eight story 150 unit building that offers section 8/project living at gated community prices. The builiding comes equiped with serious electrical and plumbing problems and offer each tenant its own little furry roommates. And the maintenance staff is glad to provide you with free mouse traps to control your roommates, but as for effective extermination...lol. Also no pets/cats allowed!
Know that the maintenance staff always properly answers all maintenance calls. They will quickly come to your apartment and promise to come fix all your issues the next day. They will not come the next day... or next week or even next month, but when they do come back they will promise you that the problem will be fixed the following day. Honest, they have to order a part!
Rest assured that few of the security features offered work. The security guard will be sleep, gone, maybe off somewhere sexually harrassing a resident, but they will not be available to let in bothersome guest or delivery men. Also when you call the police to report that your car has been broken into or stolen again you will be pleased to discover that security camera posted in the lot is just for show.
The water is always a problem. If there isn't some random leak in the sinks or bathroom ceiling then the water is turned off to make some supposed plumbing repair. And the staff will make sure to notify you of this by posting a note an hour before they do it. If they tape a note to your door at 9 and you sleep in til 10...oh well. Also, Ice skaters will love the fact that due to improper water drainage the parking lot is a icerink as soon as the tempeture drops below freezing.
The summertime offers electrical issues that result in broken elevators and electricity being out in sections of the building. Imagine the joy of being able to watch Tv in your bedroom while all your groceries spoil in your electricity free kitchen.
Oh yeah did I mention that they found a body near the pool'
