Back Bay Tower

When I was looking for apartments in Portland, I already had the Back Bay Tower in mind because it offers indoor parking, an indoor pool, fitness center, onsite laundry, secure access and security cameras at all entries. For those added amenities I think the Back Bay Tower is reasonably priced for the unit I live in. A similar size elsewhere in town would only be no more than $200 less, and considering I never have to shovel out a vehicle, move during parking bans, or keep up a gym membership for my intermittent use, the BBT is a great deal. The heat is electric, but with a decent space heater, I've rarely had to turn on the more inefficient baseboard heat. Because of that, my electric bill only goes up about $40 in the winter. The only thing I would change is to get rid of my monthly building utilities bill. That one seems like it should be covered in the rent. However, I am always greeted by cheerful staff and feel exceptionally well looked after by the building's manager/assistant manager. For all the perks and pleasantries of living here, I think anyone who offers serious criticism or complaint probably would have issues anywhere. I have recommended this building a number of times in conversations, and will continue to do so.
