wall too thin, otherwise ok

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
We lived there for a year. I found this place from internet, actually signed a six-month lease before I even checked it out. With good communication, I was able to arrive the place safely with someone there to open the door for me. It's in a quiet residential area, and my unit wasn't big. I can use a bit more closet space. The first 6-month was nothing but pleasure. I biked to the campus everyday. Downtown area is about 15 minutes walking, but it seemed much longer during a snowing and cold day. There is a bus stop right in front of the building. We renewed for another six-month, then thee came the problem. A guy and his girlfriend moved in the downstairs (actually below ground level and they call it garden apartment). That's when I found out the walls are too thin in this building. They turned TV on loudly, and music, but worst of all, they wanted to use these noises to cover their "other" activity almost every night. They were very inconsiderate. Whole building can hear what they were doing. I went down to bang their door, but they won't listen. I had to leave for another place. Parking is ok. I saw the other day, a new condo is being constructed next to the apartment. I don't think manager care about this property that much, she never fixed the noise problem.
