My boyfriend and I moved into Briar Cove in March of 2007. We are really happy here. We love the fact that the pool and tennis courts are open 24/7. Maintenance has been helpful and friendly, issues are taken care of within 24 hours. Energy bills have been reasonable, we are a 2bed/2bath on the first floor. The apartment is in good shape, and having a full size washer and dryer in the apartment has been great. The apartments are open and bright, and let in a lot of light. We like the floorplan a lot.
Parking, of course, is an issue at Briar Cove. We generally can find a spot, but a lot of times it's quite farther than we'd like. It would be great if they could offer online rent payment and/or credit card rent payment. Also, no utilities are covered by the complex. We do hear our upstairs neighbors walking around quite well, but if I never wanted to hear anyone, I wouldn't live in an apartment. Some noise is to be expected, and the noise is never at an inconvenient time.
We are very happy here and plan to renew our lease.
***UPDATE***
We have changed our minds about renewing our lease. The decided to increase our rent over 50 dollars upon renewal. Also, after a harsh winter, we discovered that no matter what our thermostat says, our apartment it still freezing. Our energy bills have been almost 200 dollars a month (First floor, 2 bed/bath).
The apartment is still recommended -- but with the energy bills and rent increase, we've decided to move elsewhere. Keep in mind that your energy bills WILL BE abnormally high.

I live in a 2 bed 2 bath ground level elsewhere, and over the winter the energy bills were around 250.00 a month! I think it's to be expected, I've never had them be cheap except when I lived in MUCH smaller apartments on a second floor or higher. I got my own electronic thermostat, put it on myself (Very Easy) and it helped a lot! (You can't count on the crappy ones in apartments) It will go with me when I leave my current apartment. I highly suggest one to help maintain your heating and cooling more efficiently.
