i must say that cambridge club apartments had the best and most attentive staff of any apartment complex i've lived in. my questions/concerns were always addressed in a timely manner--whether relating to parking or maintenance concerns. i lived on the garden level, and had some issues with the little roly-poly bugs and spiders during the warmer months. if this sort of thing really bothers you, then i'd recommend trying the second or third floors. (note**the housing staff did spray my apartment, which took care of the problem for the most part; but if i had to do it over, i'd definitely live on an upper floor.) otherwise, the apartments were definitely more than acceptable--the appliances worked, and when they bummed out, they were repaired within a day, two days tops. i am a graduate student, and i found the place to be conducive to studying and working (although my young, rowdy neighbors challenged this the last five-to-six months of my stay, unfortunately). this is also attributable to the fact that there's not much to get into on that end of town. as a student, this worked most of the time--the fewer distractions the better! BUT, for those evenings when i wanted to hang out a bit, i had to make my way to town, which seemed to be a completely different world! that aside, i was REALLY pleased with the staff and how kind and responsive they were. they were a comfort--especially considering my own family is so far away. (and the treats in the office were always a welcome distraction after a tough day!) by the end of my year's lease, the demands of my work necessitated me finding a place within walking distance of campus; had this not been the case, i would have stayed there. if you need this kind of service, then this is undoubtedly the place for you.
