Glencoe Hills

I moved to glencoe in june 2005. The price is reasonable for ann arbor rent, but you have to pay for all utilities (water, trash, sewage, electricity, and gas). The apartment is a pretty good size, however, in the winter it takes a LOT to heat it. Matter of fact, my apartment has NOT been successfully heated since I've been here. This is my major complaint about Glencoe. My heating bills have been ridiculous (approx. $200 per month for a one bedroom)and i have contacted maintenance on numerous occasions only to have my thermostat repeatedly changed. So, if you want to pay large heating bills come on over. Another gripe i have is the fake balcony. Maintenance is pretty good at responding all issues that I have had have been successfully corrected (except for the heating issue). Large bathroom, open kitchen, quiet neighbors, large bedroom and apartment has tons of closets. The laundry room kind of sucks, one washer and one dryer for the whole building and they are pretty expensive ($1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry).
In summary, I would recommend moving to glencoe if you have alternate ways to heat your apartment. Other than heating issues, my experience here has been great. All staff members have been extremely helpful and curteous.

Sounds to me like you want your apartment at 80 degrees or something. I live on the ground floor (which means it's going to be the most difficult to keep warm) and I've never had problems.

$1.25 is cheaper than the laundromat.
