Nothing special, somehow unsafe

Glencoe is an OK place for what you pay, but sometimes it can be a creepy place. Shady neighbors and poor lighting don't help to feel safe here, I've been living here for a year and these are some of the things I've seen:
Around two months ago our apartment building door was completely trashed during the night. However it was replaced in two days.
The gym is really creepy at night, the two LCD TVs were stolen and I've seen people just wearing underwear. There are many people that I doubt live in the complex that use the facilities.
Some of my neighbors are noisy and take over the common areas, the stairs are their children playground.
The washer and dryer are worthless, the washer simply won't clean your clothes. You are better going to Washtenaw laundry.
The unit I got had nothing to do with the model, the kitchen cabinets were old and the dishwasher was disgusting. However, the fridge was ok and it was the only unit available when I had to move in, so I had to take it.
Something positive is that the maintenance staff is quick and will come to your home usually the same day if you have any problem. Also they are pretty good in taking care of the snow, even if sometimes they left some cars stuck (it happen to me once).
In conclusion Glencoe is not such a bad place, especially compared to what you can get in Ypsi, but if you have the money and want to feel safer, move closer to Ann Arbor.
